Marcel TimmersHis first years were focused on the search for his own style and to gain experience in art. He managed to do so by working for several artists and designers, where he could utilize his technical skills and expertise. In the meantime he discovered the beautiful world of art.

In the initial phase of his career he sought for his own style by alternating between abstract art and realism. Both movements have left an impression on his style of art and are visible in his contemporary work. Marcel manufactures objects from RVS CHAIN switching parts, which consist of metal sheets and are given shape by rolling the steel. The sheets are welded together and the seams are polished to leave a smooth surface. That way, a curved object with rounded surfaces arises. Almost all his works are constructed using his method. This way, several machines have been designed and developed. Generally, most objects are manufactured by hand, but newer techniques like 3D modelling, laser cutting and welding are used as well. Stainless steel, bronze and Corten steel are the most common materials used in his works. Designing and creating art is his undying passion and is even used in the making of furniture, utensils or assigned projects. Perfectionism and craftmanship are always side by side, which results in art objects with a tight finish and superior quality.
